The exhibition, which opens in December 2017, will show the results of the largest archaeological expedition in Vojvodina in the last half century. The site that was almost unknown, the Old Vineyards in Čurug, have become a significant term in Serbian archeology.
The basic idea of the exhibition is to give the visitor the earliest possible evidence of the everyday life of the past epoch, from the younger Iron Age to the end of Turkish rule. From the children’s cradle, through crafts and warfare to the relation to the dead and the religion. Through the objects of everyday life, but also the rare, old records of contemporary historians, the exhibition will highlight the long-established historical notions and names of the people that exist today, while others remained only in historical memory.
